Bethlehem Tilahun Alemu sottolinea l’importanza dell’aspetto ecologico; tutti i materiali utilizzati sono reperiti localmente, come i vecchi pneumatici usati per realizzare le suole. E qui c’è sotto una bella storia che ha dato il nome al marchio; ‘SoleRebels’ si rifà ai ribelli che nel 1991 rovesciarono il regime del dittatore Menghistu e che calzavano ciabatte ricavate dai vecchi pneumatici, appunto.
